Heavy truck gearbox assembly mold

There are several types of heavy-duty truck gearboxes. According to the author’s understanding, the gearboxes of heavy-duty trucks generally have the following types; manual mechanical gearbox (MT), automatic gearbox (AT), mechanical automatic gearbox (AMT), heavy-duty manual transmission with torque converter (WSK), heavy-duty automatic transmission with torque converter (WSK), manual transmission with retarder (MT+IT), automatic with retarder Gearbox (AMT+IT).

The material of the housing should have sufficient strength and good casting properties at a low cost. A commonly used material for a small and medium-sized transmission housing is a pressure-cast aluminum alloy having a performance not lower than a tensile strength σb of 200 MPa.
